Hazz Istanbul The Library

Hazz Istanbul

Fourteen centuries ago a Byzantine courtier wrote that "a view is a more important possession than virtue." You will appreciate his words when you wake to the light littering on the Golden Horn into the Library. On the airy second floor of the townhouse, the Library commands a sweeping view across the city to the Great Palace, the Hagia Sofia and the great Imperial mosques beyond.

The soft pink interior of the library’s shelves house antique volumes bound in vellum and leather, while the alcove that houses the bed is in traditional Ottoman style.

Even the marble bath of the en-suite bathroom commands an unrivaled view of the Old City and the endless ballet of ships criss-crossing the Bosporus straits.
